Achieving a Body You Love

Relationship Goals

SUNDAY FUNDAY!

Over the weekend I had DEEP conversations with a few of my friends, some married, some single, yet very few truly happy or content. This is what I know— TRUE happiness and joy come from being comfortable with who you are, knowing your purpose, and keeping HOPE alive (and owning an Olde English Bulldogge or any #bullybreed 😜💯‼️)

The only way I have been able to keep dusting my self off, standing back up, and moving towards my purpose, is through the power of God’s word and promises……and knowing “my why”.

We all make choices, some are not the best, but the GOOD NEWS is His mercy and grace are there to help us through the journey. HE, “The Great I Am”, will give us what we need‼️

My long time mentor, said “In order for things to get better, YOU must get better. Have you Hugged a Single Mom Today?

Soooo…. it started out a little rocky this morning at Kylee’s dance competition; after picking up the remainder of her 12 dance costumes, and rhinestoning for hours the 2 nights before, we didn’t realize there were some buttons and rhinestones that needed to be attached to her Jazz costume UNTILL 15 MINUTES BEFORE I was supposed to have my daughter on stage 😮 (Like these weekends aren’t STRESSFUL ENOUGH😬😬😬, having to leave the house at 5 am, only to return at 11 pm)

Thank God for my “sister dance mommas” that jumped in to help glue, stitch, pin, etc to get my baby stage ready🤗🤯 🔥‼️

One thing that is a MUST, especially being a single mom, is organization and preparedness 🙌🏻👍. I depend on my kids to HELP with all of that as well . 👍It’s not easy to keep all the plates spinning – running 3 businesses, working full-time x2, running a large house-hold (including 3 pets), being the sole provider, doing all the shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, driving, schedule keeping, and MORE….honestly, I barely have time to take a shower, let alone “take care of me” some days‼️. NOPE- not easy- not AT ALL! 😶😶😶😲😢BUT IT IS WORTH IT‼️.

Please, go offer an encouraging word and give a hug to a single working mom today —tell her she is doing a GREAT JOB! I guarantee she doesn’t hear it enough.

(She is doing the best she possibly can❤️💃)

Relationships: Finding or Being?

Since I am a SINGLE mom, I have a very direct and personal question to ask my single readers:  Do you believe your focus should be on FINDING the right person or BEING the right person?   Steven Furtick has an important short message entiteld “Finding Happiness in Relationships” click this link to listen .   He is my favorite teaching pastor; I try to watch/listen to a message from him 4-5 times per week.  I absolutely love his authenticity, his teaching style, and his LOVE for people.  Each day I try my best to “fix my focus”, as Furtick recommends.  I would like to challenge all of my friends that read my blog to do the same. Change starts with us; let’s be our BEST selves!

This Valentine’s Day,  I have chosen to focus on what I love MOST;  God, my children and my close friends.  It’s OK if you don’t have a date with a “sweetheart” — “FIX YOUR FOCUS” AND BE GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF THE OTHER KINDS OF LOVE IN YOUR LIFE!

Single moms: You are a doctor, a teacher, a nurse, a maid, a cook, a referee, a heroine, a provider, a defender, a protector, a true Superwoman. Wear your cape proudly.

I can make the bacon, fry it up, braid some hair and catch the football game. All at the same time. I’m superman because I have to be. And it’s the highest honor of my life. I’m proud to be a single dad.

Fit4RAW Dance can be used for self-EXPRESSion & Therapy : You Should & CAN Dance!

Our family has found exercise, dance and movement to be a wonderful, fun and effective type of therapy! One certainly doesn’t have to “look” a certain way or be considered a “good” dancer to dance. All you have to do is play your favorite jam and get up and MOVE! ❤️

Here is a clip from the FLUID FLUID DANCE CONVENTION my daughter danced in this weekend in Minneapolis. It is conducted like an audition to give the dancers a taste of what it is like to possibly work as a professional dancer. Kylee is only 13 years old and has enjoyed this dance weekend dance workshop for a few years; she actually “won” the mock audition last year.

Enjoy this lyrical piece (Kylee is one of the 3 on stage), choreographed and taught by Kristin Sudeikis, a renown choreographer from NYC.

Do You Ever Feel Like Quitting?

I can’t even tell you how many times I have been tempted to QUIT, THROW IN THE TOWEL, STOP DREAMING, STOP MY JOURNEY OF HEALING… and just GIVE UP on ❤️, my businesses, etc.

Yes, even strong minded, driven people get hit with those thoughts. It is important to QUICKLY shift gears by reminding ourselves of God’s promises and what HE has in store for us! 🙏Google “God’s promises”; print them out, read them daily .

❤️💪Declare ALL of them for your life! You will start to see a shift in your thinking, your mindset, and how you act and LIVE. It is the DAILY disciplines that add up to a life FULL of HOPE, fueled through the truth of HIS promises! SOLUTIONS WILL APPEAR with the correct mindset.

Make it a beautiful day as you open up your mind and heart to God’s solutions!
